Morigerati is a small medieval village surrounded by nature, whose origin is traced back to a settlement of Basilian monks. The village is known for the WWF oasis, a small canyon, where there is the resurgence of the river Bussento and a type of vegetation inexplicable in relation to the place. The departure by bike is expected from Policastro, we will ride constantly uphill to reach the small village.

Paestum

Those who arrive in Cilento cannot leave without having visited the beautiful excavations of the Paestum, unique in the world for its grandeur and preservation over time. They tell of a glorious Greek-Roman past. Departure by bike from Agropoli to reach Paestum along the cycle path. Visit to a renowned dairy to watch the cycle of production of buffalo mozzarella, to enter the farm and finally we will head by bike to the Temples and the Museum, where we will spend the rest of the morning.

Past, Mythology and Sea

The mythological tradition and the richness of archaeological finds will be the main theme of the day, confusing the boundaries between history and mythology. Palinuro, the helmsman of Aeneas enunciated in the Aeneid of Virgil, will take us to the village of the same name to make us feel the scent of the past. After cycling along the beautiful coast, we will take the Valle Del Mingardo with the spectacular Gola del Diavolo. Here we will stop to visit the ancient village of San Severino. Then, among secular olive trees, we will ride to the small village of Centola where we will discover alleys, which will tell us about the past time. Stop and visit the old town. We will continue towards Palinuro to climb the promontory and here, Capo Palinuro will show all its majesty and the sound of the waves will be complicit in our imagination. Leaving the village, we will go on the short bike path to follow the river and arrive at its mouth under the magnificent Natural Arch. It will be the moment dedicated to the dive into the golden waters of the sunset.

You will be amazed at the splendour of this emotion when you climb up the "Ciglioto" road and you will feel that time has stopped, opening a window on the past, from which you will hear stories of Basilian monks, ancient oil mills, cosy farmhouses, characteristic drinking troughs and master craftsmen. From Roccagloriosa, we will reach Licusati to visit an old oil mill.In Camerota, after visiting the old town, we will be supported by an ancient clay craftsman where we will admire the art of the cunzaro and we will try to imitate the ancient craftsman on the lathe. In the long descent to Marina di Camerota we will tell the legend "The shimmer of the sea" that will take us back to the mythological tale of Kamaraton and will make us discover a secret of our beautiful sea. We are waiting for you for a beautiful day during which the past will be confused with the present, history with mythology and fantasy with reality.
